Fully floating, customizable brake rotor.

APS’s brake rotors are machined on both sides simultaneously in a way that ensures that the discs do not go out of flat due to thermal and residual stress in the material. This is a premium product, not comparable with heat and friction fragile water cut rotors.

The APS Indi Brake Rotor is a semi-standardisation of our fully customizable brake discs. The standardization creates both order simplicity and cost efficiency, enabling easy and prize worthy orders.

The lightweight option reduces weight by removing the mass by (more or less) doubling the number of holes, which significantly decreases heat resistance, decreases the braking effect, and increases the wear on the brake pads. Therefore it is not recommended for normal driving conditions. Formula Student teams using regenerative braking and seeking to optimise weight should carefully run their calculations and simulations before choosing the lightweight option.

The friction height of APS brake callipers are 27 mm.
